The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch 36 satellites for the UK-based OneWeb Network Access Associated Ltd. on 26th March, 2023.
The launch will take place at 0900 IST from the second launch pad at SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota. India’s Bharti Group is a supporter of OneWeb.
OneWeb is a global communications network powered by a constellation of 648 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites.
On March 26, 2023, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch 36 satellites for the UK-based OneWeb Network Access Associated Ltd. The launch will take place at 0900 IST from the second launch pad at SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota.
With the addition of the 36 satellites on March 26, OneWeb, which is backed by the Bharti Group in India, will have a total of 618 satellites in orbit, having already launched 582 satellites into orbit.
The second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota, will serve as the launch site. OneWeb has partnered with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) on two missions to launch 72 satellites into low-Earth orbit.
On October 23, 2022, LVM3-M2/OneWeb India-1, the first mission, was launched. It had 36 satellites. 36 OneWeb Gen-1 satellites totaling 5,805 kg will be launched into the LVM3-M3 mission and placed into a 450 km circular orbit with an inclination of 87.4 degrees.
LVM3 has flown six times, the most recent of which was Chandrayaan-2. LVM3 has completed five straight successful missions.

The company will complete the global reach of its Gen1 constellation with the successful launch of the satellites on March 26. 582 satellites make up the Gen 1 constellation at the moment.
For a launch fee of over Rs 1,000 crore, NSIL and OneWeb have a contract to launch 72 satellites over the course of two launches.
