ISKCON Slams Maneka Gandhi Over Her Fake Claims Regarding Cows

BJP Member of Parliament Maneka Gandhi has made serious allegations against ISKCON. Maneka Gandhi claims that ISKCON sells its cows from the goshala to butchers.

On the other hand, ISKCON has called Maneka’s allegations false and baseless, stating that the organization is shocked by her claims.

Maneka Gandhi said, “I once visited the ISKCON goshala in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. I couldn’t find a single cow there that didn’t give milk or any calves. This clearly indicates that ISKCON sells cows that don’t produce milk to butchers.”

Maneka further stated that ISKCON sells all its cows to butchers, which is something no other organization does.

She criticized them for chanting “Hare Rama Hare Krishna” on the streets and claiming their entire livelihood depends on milk. She added, “Perhaps no one has sold as many cows to butchers as they have.”

ISKCON Refuted Maneka Gandhi’s Fake Allegations

ISKCON has responded to Maneka Gandhi’s allegations by denying them as baseless. Yudhishthir Govind Das, ISKCON’s national spokesperson, said that their organization is not only working for cow and bull protection in India but also worldwide. Cows and bulls at ISKCON’s goshala are not sold to butchers; they are kept until their natural lives end.

Are Maneka Gandhi’s Statements Motivated?

Maneka Gandhi is a BJP Member of Parliament. She is known as an animal rights activist. She has been a big supporter of ISKCON for several years. She has appreciated ISKCON’s efforts several times in the past few years.

In such a situation, Maneka Gandhi’s sudden and significant statement against ISKCON has surprised everyone. Some people on social media have even started raising questions, wondering if there is any involvement of a foreign animal rights organization behind her statement.

Throughout the world, ISKCON is known for its devotion to Krishna and cow protection. In ISKCON’s hundreds of goshalas, cows and bulls are cared for until their natural lives end.

In many countries where people had incorporated beef into their diets, ISKCON has successfully campaigned to reduce or stop its consumption. In this context, a statement like this from a prominent leader like Maneka Gandhi is unexpected, or seems to be motivated.
