The Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh arrested a man named Kaleem Ahmed for his links to the Pakistani spy agency ISI. He was allegedly trying to encourage young people to spread jihad in India.
Ahmed had recently returned from Pakistan and was planning to carry out major incidents to disrupt the unity and harmony of the country. He had also conducted surveillance on security establishments in India.
The police learned about his activities through an informant and raided his house to arrest him. During interrogation, Ahmed revealed that he had met ISI officials in Pakistan who offered him money to prepare explosives and carry out attacks in India.
He was also instructed to disturb communal harmony in India and work towards making it an Islamic country. Ahmed had used a fake ID to buy a sim card and sent photographs of defense establishments, including pictures of Rafale fighter jets, to his handlers in Pakistan.
The Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh arrested Ahmed for collecting illegal weapons as part of a criminal conspiracy with the Pakistani intelligence agency. The authorities believe that he was planning to carry out attacks to damage the internal and external security of India.
A family of three, consisting of a 70-year-old father, a 65-year-old mother, and a 35-year-old son, were recently sent back from a jail in Pakistan after spending a year there.
However, the police in Uttar Pradesh (UP), India, have now claimed that the son was actually deported as part of an operation by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
According to the police, the son, Kalim Ahmed, used to smuggle weapons from across the border, and the ISI got the family out of jail and sent them back to India.

During the investigation, it was discovered that a Saharanpur resident named Yusuf Samsi provided fake SIM cards to Kalim and his brother, through which they communicated with ISI handlers in Pakistan.
Kalim has now been apprehended by the UP special task force and is being interrogated by security agencies. Kalim, his brother, and Yusuf Samsi have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
