IRCTC has canceled nearly 250 trains nationwide, ahead of the Holi festival, for the safety of passengers during maintenance works of the railway infrastructures.
90 additional trains that were due to depart on March 4 were partially canceled, according to the most recent announcement made by the railway department.
Trains from Delhi, Lucknow, Bokaro Steel City, Buxar, Kanpur, Asansol, Amravati, Wardha, Nagpur, Pune, Pathankot, Madurai, Rameswaram, and several other cities are among those on the list of canceled trains.
Indian Railways have scheduled special trains for the Holi occasion. The choice was made in order to escape the anticipated crowd when many passengers were leaving for their homes to mark the festival of colors.
Indian Railways recently disclosed that train tickets purchased through scripting or unlicensed agents may be issued without a refund.

Railway travelers can look up the list of canceled trains at indianrail.gov.in/mntes and choose the date of their journey. Choose Exceptional Trains from the screen’s top panel on the official website.
Passengers can check the whole list of canceled trains including routes, timings, and other details by selecting the Canceled Trains option.
Recently, the Indian Railways informed that tickets obtained through software or unlicensed agents would be given without a refund.
