Iran’s Morality Police & Rulers Surrender In Front Of Hijab Protests

In the era of feminism culture the Iranian rulers were trying to hold back the women rights. They were deciding what to wear, how to look & how to behave for all women.

Iran saw a lot of protests in support of the hijab revolution. Iranian women demonstrated against the headscarf in the streets. 

Iran’s government has been brought to its knees in just 80 days. Mohammad Jafar Montazeri, the attorney general of Iran, has demanded that the Morality Police institution be abolished. 

However, the Iranian government has not yet provided any official comment on this matter. But the whole scenario is now in the favor of Hijab Protestors. 

Why Did Iran Hijab Protests Start?

In Iran, women are routinely harassed, assaulted and arrested by the morality police – a branch of the Iranian government. 

The morality police have the power to arrest any woman they deem to be breaking Islamic moral codes. 

They also have a say in what women wear and how they behave. Women are often arrested for wearing clothes that are deemed too tight or too short.

The morality police in Iran has been around since 1979 when it was first established by Ayatollah Khomeini. 

The main purpose of these forces is to enforce Islamic law and protect Iranian values from Western influence. 

These forces were initially set up to stop people from drinking alcohol, but now they also patrol streets and take action against those who wear clothes that show their hair or don’t wear their headscarf properly.

As well as enforcing dress codes, the morality police can arrest women who appear in public without a male guardian or those who play loud music on their car radios – even if there is no law against it.

The mob is often able to get away with such arbitrary arrests because the state provides a legal framework for their actions. 

In Myanmar, for example, the Ministry of Home Affairs only appoints moral police and grants them power to temporarily detain those who violate their rules.

In Pakistan, women wearing jeans can be taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency and kept in a detention cell without charge for up to 24 hours until they receive orders from a magistrate about how to proceed.

The Legal Battle of Iranian Women In Regards To Morality Police Laws

The Iranian government has been criticized for its treatment of women. Women are not allowed to wear a manteau, which is a long coat that goes down to their ankles and covers the majority of their body, or wear high heels.

In December 2017, the Morality Police in Iran stated that they would be enforcing stricter laws on what women can wear.

The new laws state that women cannot wear clothes that show their collarbone or cleavage. This type of clothing is seen as “un-Islamic” by the Iranian government.

Iranian women are fighting back against these laws and have been protesting outside parliament buildings to get them changed.

How the Iranian Government Views and Limits Women’s Rights in Society and Politics?

The Iranian government is a patriarchal society which is governed by men. The Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was ratified in 1979, grants women some rights and protections but also limits them.

The Iranian government has taken steps to limit women’s rights in society and politics. 

Women are not allowed to run for president and they are not allowed to serve as judges. In the workplace, they are often paid less than their male counterparts.
