Iran Hangs 3 Men Over Anti-Govt Protests, Linked To Anti-Hijab Calls

The Iranian govt executed 3 men who raised their voice against the govt. The UN & International human rights organizations are concerned but can’t do anything.

Iran’s government has executed three men accused of violence against security forces during protests following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in police custody.

The men were convicted of “war against God” and charged with killing three members of the security forces. These executions bring the total number of protesters hanged in connection with the demonstrations to at least seven.

The protests erupted after Mahsa Amini’s death, which occurred while she was in custody for an alleged breach of the country’s strict dress rules for women.

The demonstrations were met with a harsh response from Iran’s regime, labeling them as foreign-instigated “riots” and leading to the arrest of thousands of Iranians and the death of hundreds.

The execution of these men has drawn protests both domestically and internationally. Amnesty International and other human rights organizations have condemned the fast-tracked trial, citing flaws and the use of “torture-tainted ‘confessions.'” The defendants’ confessions, broadcasted on state media, were reportedly obtained under torture.

The Iranian government has shown their disregard for human rights and neglecting fair trial procedures, after these ongoing executions.

The use of torture to extract confessions is a grave violation of human rights, and the rushed nature of the trial raises concerns about due process.

International entities, including the European Union, Australia, and UN rights experts, have expressed their condemnation of these executions.

The protests and subsequent crackdown represent a significant challenge to Iran’s clerical leadership since the 1979 revolution.

The Iranian citizens’ demands for justice, freedom, and respect for human rights should be heeded by the government.

The executions only serve to further suppress dissent and violate the fundamental rights of individuals.

The international communities like the U.N. and Human Rights Organizations must take strong actions to condemn these human rights violations. They should also put pressure on Iran to follow its responsibilities under international law.

The ongoing executions in Iran should serve as a reminder of the continuing struggle for human rights in Iran and the need for continued advocacy and support for the Iranian citizens’ quest for justice and freedom in their own country.
