IPL is considered to be one of the most premium cricket leagues in the world where players from all around the world take part. Throughout the years, players have gone on to score many batting records in the tournament and a total of 73 centuries have been scored in the last fifteen seasons.

However, only five players have gone on to score a century in the playoffs of the IPL. The most recent one being Rajat Patidar from RCB who scored a match winning 112 against RCB in the 2022 Eliminator. Here’s a list of the five players who have scored a century in the IPL Playoffs:
Rajat Patidar of Royal Challengers Bangalore made history when he hit his first IPL century against Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator of IPL 2022. Meanwhile, Rajat became only the fifth batter in IPL playoff history to hit a century. In the IPL playoffs, he also became the first uncapped player to do so.

During the final of the 2018 edition, CSK was chasing a total of 179 set by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Shane Watson had a shaky start to his innings as he was 0 off 10 balls. However, once he got set, he went on to play probably the best innings of the IPL final so far scoring a match winning 117 off 57 balls.
Wriddhiman Saha scored a brilliant 115 off 55 balls including 8 sixes in the 2014 final. His innings helped Punjab post a total of 199. However, on the flat wicket of Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the total seemed less as KKR went on to win the match and the IPL title.

During the second qualifier of 2014, the match was played between CSK and KXIP. Batting first, Punjab’s opener Virender Sehwag played an extraordinary innings as he scored 122 off just 58 balls and helped his team set up a total of 226. In reply, CSK could only manage to score 202.
Popularly known as the Monk, Murali Vijay was the first player to score a century in the playoffs of the IPL. He scored 113 off 58 balls in 2012 season during the second qualifier against Delhi Daredevils. His innings helped CSK win the match by 86 runs and make a place in the final.
