IPL 2020 is going to be held in UAE

The IPL Governing Council Chairman Brijesh Patel affirmed that they are planning to hold the most awaited IPL 2020 in the UAE and are waiting for central government’s consent, NDTV reported.
The proposal to organize the games will be sent to the legislature after the IPL Governing Council meeting this weekend, with two proposed windows for holding 60 matches.
On Monday, The International Cricket Council (ICC) declared the suspension of the T20 World Cup 2020, paving a way to start the Indian Premier League during a pandemic.
The BCCI prefers to begin matches between September 26 and November 7, while the broadcasters wish to organize it between September 26 and November 14, to gain more in Diwali weekend.
At the beginning of December 3, the Indian team will travel to Australia for a four-Test series, and firstly the board will have to get a clear quarantine window before the series begins.
As of now, the BCCI is hoping to submit proposals for a bio-secure venue and ensuring the safety of players amid growing coronavirus crisis.
