International Tiger Day 2022: What If All Tigers & Lions Go Extinct?

International Tiger Day 2022: We have already lost 97% tigers. There are less than 3,900 lions left in the world. Have you ever thought what if all tigers & lions go extinct?

The negative effects of climate change are being seen around the world right now, and they’re getting scarier by the day. More Earth’s animals have experienced it than human life.

The world’s extinct animal species are not mentioned when we discuss saving the earth; instead, we focus on protecting the environment and forests.

Greater attention is placed on the effort to conserve tigers and lions when saving the creatures.

We shall understand the significance of the tiger in 2021 when the globe celebrates International Tiger Day on July 29.

When it comes to preserving the ecosystem’s diversity and health, tigers and lions are crucial players. The summit of the food chain is occupied by these predatory beings.

Particularly vital in maintaining the population in check in the forests are tigers and lions. These limit the population growth of herbivorous animals, which keeps the growth of vegetation in check.

Tiger Extinction Due To Human Intervention

The situation altered significantly when there were more people on the planet.

Humans destroying forests and trading lion body parts for valuable commodities led to a precipitous decline in the tiger and lion populations, posing a serious threat to both species’ survival.

The environment of tigers and lions has been significantly reduced as a result of human activity. The lions must now be saved through campaigns.

Why Must We Save Tigers & Lions?

Tigers and lions have now joined the list of species that are in danger of extinction due to the current state of affairs. In order to conserve tigers and lions, the globe observes International Tiger Day on July 29.

We Have Already Lost 97% of Tigers

The world’s tiger population is quickly declining. In just over a century, the global tiger population has decreased by 97%. In the 1980s, three tiger subspecies—the Bali, Javan, and Caspian tigers—went extinct.

There are currently just 3900 wild lions left in the world, as per the World Wildlife Fund. The Javanese lion, Bali lion, Caspian lion, and hybrid lion are all now extinct.

Tigers & Lions Extinction Is Really Dangerous

The extinction of tigers and lions is quite concerning since it will seriously alter the ecosystem’s balance in our forests.

As a result, the quantity of animals that tigers and lions consume will swiftly expand. Because more animals would be consuming them, there will be a lack of flora like grass and forests in this scenario.

Additionally, the number of snakes and lion-eating creatures like rats will rise. If the snakes and rats start to disappear in such a condition, the entire balance would be disturbed.

In addition to this, the hunting of lions and the loss of their territory are to blame for their population decline.
