Instead of dictating terms to Tamils, try to listen to them and win hearts, Rahul tells PM

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi while addressing people in Tamil Nadu said, rather than dictating terms to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi K. Palaniswami, PM Modi should attempt to connect with people of Tamil Nadu and win their hearts as late Chief Minister K. Kamaraj used to do.

Kamaraj used to listen to the people of Tamil Nadu which helped him in developing new ideas like the mid-day meal scheme to take care of crores of helpless poor kids across the nation. He has been the greatest leader to be recalled even now and was successful in winning the hearts of the Tamil people.

If Modi Ji wishes to win the hearts of the Tamil community, then “he would have to open up his ears to listen to them with an aim to win them over,” Rahul added.

Rahul is campaigning in the state of Tamil Nadu for the second day as the Assembly Elections are approaching and scheduled on the 6 April. On Sunday while addressing a rally in Tirunelveli district in Tamil Nadu, responding to PM’s statement of ‘one nation, one language, and one culture’ formula, Rahul said that India has various cultures, languages, and PM must respect all.

Rahul added that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister shouldn’t bow his head before Modi Ji due to his corrupt administration; he must bow his head before Tamil people with all humility to win their support, The Hindu reported.

He additionally took to Twitter to criticize the Central Government for turning the noble professions like teachers, farmers, and healthcare workers into monetary commodities for their gains. We are battling without any rage, bitterness, or violence and nonviolence consistently wins, added Rahul.

The MK Stalin’s Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has united with the Congress party however the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) is contesting the Assembly elections allying with the BJP.
