Instagram was globally down on Thursday night, around 10 pm. Many users criticized this by sharing funny posts & memes on Twitter. However it has been fixed now.
Instagram, a platform owned by Facebook for sharing photos and videos, has gained so much popularity. But on Thursday night, a number of users reported experiencing difficulties with Instagram.
This has also been verified by the real-time website and service information provider DownDetector. Instagram experienced issues and went offline at 10 p.m. on Thursday, according to Downdetector.

The reporter for Downdetector found that % of Instagram downtime was attributed to app failures, 24 percent to server connectivity, and the remaining % to challenging login attempts.
While some users just have login issues with the Instagram app, other users are completely unable to utilize this service.
Many Instagram users are also unable to load latest posts to their feeds, see Stories, or send or receive Direct Messages.
Numerous users criticized the outage of Instagram. Additionally, as per customary, users on the microblogging service Twitter began talking about Instagram.
On Twitter, users began to confirm that Instagram was offline. As a result, the hashtag #instagramdown became popular on Twitter.

On Twitter, users also posted a lot of amusing articles and jokes regarding Instagram.
At the same time, the Instagram officials tweeted and said,
“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing Instagram. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience, and hang tight!”
When there was difficulty with Instagram, several people reset their cell phones and switched them off. Instagram was uninstalled and then reinstalled by certain users.
They struggled to manage Instagram, though. Instagram, was reported to be down and to be crashing by users.
People are finding it more challenging to use the function when the app is unavailable. Users have reported having difficulties creating reels. Following that, many memes were shared on Twitter by individuals.

On Twitter, a user wrote, “When I try to start @instagram, the app crashes and returns me to the home page of my phone.”

A user named Suresh tweeted regarding the hashtag #instagramdown, “I am calling my friend to check if Instagram is working… When I am not getting retweets, I think twitter Down too.”
