Industries Minister Predicts ₹15,000 Cr New Investment In Karnataka’s EV Sector

The Industry Minister of Karnataka, M B Patil, just made a big announcement about electric vehicles, or EVs as we call them. The Industries Minister M B Pati is the guy in charge of Large and Medium Industries in Karnataka. You may consider him as the leader who helps businesses grow in the state.

He said that Karnataka has already got Rs 25,000 crore invested in the electric vehicle business. And they are expecting another Rs 15,000 crore to come in. This new cash will go into research and making EVs even better.

Now, you may wonder, why so much focus on Karnataka? Well, Karnataka is a big player in the EV game. They’ve already got about 2 lakh EVs on the road. That’s the third highest in the whole country!

Not just that, the state is home to over 7 big car-making companies, more than 50 parts-making companies, and 45 startups all working on electric vehicles.

If you are familiar with the EV sector, you might be aware of “Centre of Excellence & Innovation for Electric Vehicle Mobility.” This is a new place set up at the JSS Academy in Bengaluru.

It’s like a hub for everything EV. People can go there to learn, to research, and to come up with new ideas. The aim is to make EVs even better and get more people ready for jobs in this field.

Karnataka has been doing really well in the electric vehicle market. They’ve got the companies, the know-how, and now they’re even training people for the future. That’s why Karnataka state deserve another Rs 15,000 crore in investments. Karnataka is going all-in on electric vehicles, and it looks like it’s paying off.

The Union Minister R K Singh recently launched the ‘EV-Ready India Dashboard.’ It’s an online tool that lets you see all kinds of info about EVs in India, like sales and where to find charging stations.India is expected to sell over 1.6 crore EVs a year by 2030! That’s a huge jump and it’s estimated to grow at a rate of 45.5% every year till 2030.

Maharashtra and Delhi will have the most charging stations.The dashboard also tells us that different states are leading in different areas. Like, Tamil Nadu is the boss in making electric two-wheelers, and Karnataka is great at research and development.

As you know, EVs are good and very important for the planet. They help us cut down on pollution. Plus, India has big plans to produce more clean energy, and it looks like India is going full speed ahead in the EV game.
