Titan Company Ltd. joins hands with the State Bank of India (SBI) and launches India’s first contactless payment watches known as ‘Titan Pay’. Titan has unveiled five new watches that buyers can wear and utilize them on contactless payment POS machines via YONO SBI.

‘Titan Pay’ watches will only operate for SBI Bank cardholders. Users can make payments for up to Rs. 2000 without entering a PIN by simply tapping on the watch, while payments over that will need manual entering of PIN.

Titan introduces two watches for women, priced at Rs. 3,895 and Rs. 4,395 and three watches for men, priced at Rs. 2,995, Rs. 3,995, and Rs. 5,995 respectively. These watches come with round dials and leather straps in black and brown colors. They are available for sale online on https://www.titan.co.in/shop/titan-pay.

For SBI Bank cardholders there is an embedded secure certified Near-Field Communication (NFC) chip inside the watch strap and it will only function in shops and places where contactless POS machines are accessible. The coolest hassle-free feature is that the watch doesn’t need any internet connectivity or battery to operate.

The security features are great as your ‘Titan Pay’ watch can be remotely turned off if you forget your watch somewhere. You can select to temporarily disable or block your Titan Pay watch via the YONO SBI app.

C K Venkataraman, Managing Director of Titan expressed that Titan Pay watches won’t just fulfill the customer’s banking requirements but likewise serve buyers with its sophisticated and classic designs. We are proud and believe that this innovation will redefine users’ shopping experience with a tap and pay technology, he included.
