India’s First ChatGPT-Powered AI Chatbot ‘Lexi’ Launched

The tech company Velocity has integrated ChatGPT in its analytics tool Velocity Insights as ‘Lexi’. It has become India’s first ChatGPT-powered AI chatbot.

Velocity, an Indian financial technology startup, has built the country’s first ChatGPT incorporated chatbot nicknamed as “Lexi”.

According to the business, Velocity Insights, an existing analytics platform, has been merged with this most recent AI advancement.

A daily business report on WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is provided to Indian e-commerce firms that use Velocity Insights.

Velocity accomplished this by integrating the ChatGPT into the WhatsApp interface.

According to a statement from Abhiroop Medhekar, co-founder and CEO of Velocity, “Ever since ChatGPT started, our product teams have been thinking about ways to use it to benefit our founders.

We combined ChatGPT with the Insights interface because Velocity clients already use it frequently to inform business choices.”

According to Velocity, the combination of ChatGPT and Velocity Insights will benefit the world’s largest online retailers by providing conversational, AI-powered business solutions. Their vital company functions will be freed up, which will aid in their growth.

According to a source, the Ministry of Electronics and IT is preparing to link ChatGPT with WhatsApp to assist Indian farmers in understanding and becoming familiar with a number of government programs.

Notably, a story from The Indian Express claims that the Meity team at Bhashini is testing the ChatGPT-powered WhatsApp chatbot.

According to the study, a WhatsApp chatbot powered by ChatGPT will assist users by responding to questions delivered as voice notes.

It will be especially helpful for Indian farmers who may not be accustomed to typing on cell phones.

Remarkably, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also stated at the World Economic Forum that Indian farmers will soon be able to use a GPT interface to access a government programme online.

The source also states that Nadella was shown a ChatGPT model that powers the WhatsApp chatbot.

However, because the AI software only supports inputs fed in English at this time and does not support local languages, it may take some time for ChatGPT for Farmers to integrate with WhatsApp.

An insider also told the publication that in order to train the AI chatbot on the various regional Indian languages, substantial datasets of those languages need to be developed.
