India’s 156 ‘Prachand’ Helicopters To Counter China, Pakistan

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is getting 156 new helicopters called ‘Prachand’ from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL). These helicopters are made in India and will be used along the borders with China and Pakistan.

This is a big step towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of making India more self-reliant in defense. In the future, India might have a total of 300 ‘Prachand’ helicopters.

The IAF has asked the government to buy these helicopters, and it’s likely to be approved soon. The delivery of 10 similar helicopters is almost done, and more will be produced for the IAF and the Indian Army.

These helicopters have been tested in tough conditions and will be used in places like the Indo-Pak border and Eastern Ladakh. 

They can take off and land at very high altitudes, making them perfect for places like Siachen Glacier. They can also shoot missiles to protect against enemy attacks.

Out of the 156 helicopters, 66 will be used by the Indian Air Force, and 90 by the Indian Army. This helps India become stronger in making its own defense equipment.

The ‘Prachand’ helicopters might also be sold to other countries. This can make India a big player in the global defense market.

These helicopters are specially designed for high-altitude missions. They are armed with guns and missiles, can fly fast and far, and are powered by strong engines.

After the arrival of 156 ‘Prachand’ helicopters, India’s defense capability will further elevate to an international level. Every nation should ensure the security of its borders, and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) is contributing significantly to this cause.
