Indian Woman Travels 80,000 Km Across 40 Countries On Bike In Saree

Ramabai Latpate is traveling across the 12 G20 countries & 30 other countries on her bike in saree, as a solo trip. She has been referred to as ‘Bharat ki Beti’.

Ramabai Latpate, a resident of Pune, shares the same desire as all other women to see the world, but there is something unique about her that makes her stand out from all other women.

Wearing a Maharashtrian nauvari saree, Latpate is trying the remarkable feat of riding a bike solo around the globe.

In an interview with India Today Channel, Ramabai claimed that PM Narendra Modi’s comments have inspired her.

As per PM Modi’s comments at the G20 meeting, women in India are advancing exceptionally well.

She is known as “Bharat ki Beti” and is on a mission to ride her motorbike by herself across 12 G20 member nations, 30 more nations, and a total of around 40 nations dispersed over 6 continents.

Ramabai, a businesswoman and pilot, claimed that taking into account the severe weather and her knowledge of how to read a map, she was able to determine the path.

On March 8, 2023, International Women’s Day, she set out on her own bicycle tour from Mumbai’s Gateway of India. She would take a flight from Mumbai to Delhi before having her motorcycle shipped to Australia.

The challenging part of the trip is the roughly 1,600-kilometer distance between Perth and Sydney. Across this 1,600 km2 region, there are neither appropriate human habitations nor cellular connectivity.

On this journey, Ramabai will travel alone, making brief stops in the bush, and sleeping in a tent by herself.

Ramabai Latpate plans to cover 80,000 kilometers on her superbike in about a year. She isn’t frightened to ride alone, and she doesn’t think about the severe weather she might run into while negotiating treacherous terrain like snow-covered dirt roads and steep mountains.

During the course of almost a year, Bharat ki Beti will drive her superbike 80,000 kilometers. She will visit numerous countries, including Australia, New Zealand, France, New York, Morocco, and Dubai.

This brave woman disclosed that the price tag for her 365-day solo bike ride will definitely exceed one crore.

She asserted that she had previously spent all of her money in addition to selling her Car and gold jewellery to pay for the first charges.

Ramabai has filed a crowdfunding request for Rs 1 per participant because the total cost is likely to be higher. She has spoken with public officials and corporate communities about this.
