Indian Virtual Courts Under E-Courts Mission To Fortify Justice System

The e-courts initiative is launching a system of virtual courts around the country. The 24-hour court has started accepting cases for traffic rule violations & others.

The All India District Legal Services Authority’s first meeting’s opening session was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. N. V. Ramana, the Chief Justice of India, and Kiren Rijiju, the Minister of Union Law, were also present.

Only Few Can Approach Courts, Majority Suffers In Silence: CJI

Chief Justice of India N V Ramana described access to justice as “a instrument for social liberation” and claimed that although the majority of people suffer in silence due to a lack of awareness and resources, only a small minority can seek legal assistance.

The Chief Justice of India (CJI) stated that technology has become a significant enabler and urged the judiciary to “employ current technical tools to accelerate the pace of justice delivery.”

Ease of Justice Is Also Important: PM Modi

The PM stated during the opening remarks that ease of justice is equally crucial to ease of doing business and ease of living. 

Every citizen understands that his rights are being protected by the nation’s systems thanks to this belief in justice. 

The National Legal Services Authority was also founded in the nation with similar philosophy in mind so that even the most vulnerable among the weak can access justice.

Virtual Courts of E-Courts Mission Is The Future

According to PM Modi, the e-courts goal includes launching virtual courts around the nation. 

The 24-hour court has begun accepting cases for infractions like moving offenses. To better serve the public, the court is expanding its video conferencing capabilities.
