Indian student’s suspected killer arrested by Canadian police

Elijah too was shot multiple times by Edwin after which the accused fled the scene.

“These murders are believed to be random attacks and the victims were not known to the accused or each other. Investigators are working to establish the full motive behind the attacks and these remain active investigations,” the Toronto Police said in a statement.

Kartik Vasudev’s family is seeking tho”g. The man murdered two people in a span of two days. There has to be a motive or a target and it does not come across as random. I hope there is further investigation into the case and it is not dismissed at this point,” said Jitesh Vasudev, Kartik’s father.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has expressed his grief in a tweet, “Grieved by this tragic incident. Deepest condolences to the family.”
