Indian Army counter-attacks Pakistan, 4 jawans killed in LOC

4 jawans killed in LOC: Showing a sharp heightening of attacks along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir, four BSF jawans and four civilians got killed, in a baseless ceasefire violation by Pakistan, authorities stated. In the attack around 6 to 7 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the counter fire, sources stated. 

According to analysts, although the two nations have maintained a truce since 2003, they consistently have exchanged fire over the Line of Control. The two sides blame the other for disregarding the truce and hold responsible for the assaults. 

The Indian Army strongly replied and fought back to the shelling and there have been casualties on the Pakistani side as well. A Border Security Force (BSF) sub-inspector was killed during the firing, the authorities stated. Six civilians were also killed in the regions, PTI reported. Pakistani army utilized mortars and different weapons. 

Various Pakistani armed force dugouts, fuel dumps, and launch pads have been decimated and set ablaze, they added. Recordings delivered by the military demonstrated how targets were destroyed. Around 6-7 Pakistani soldiers, including two SSG (Special Service Group) commandos, were killed, and 10-12 got hurt, Army sources stated. 

Aside from different spots in Uri, truce violation was accounted from Izmarg in Keran area of Kupwara region and Gurez area of Bandipora region. India has reported around 4,052 ceasefire infringement CFVs) by Pakistan in 2020, breaking all records in the course of 17 years. 

Col Rajesh Kalia stated, “Dubious movement was noticed by our soldiers at the forward posts along the LoC in Keran area (in north Kashmir’s Kupwara locale) today. The suspected intrusion was thwarted by alert soldiers.” “They discharged us with mortars and several weapons. The befitting reply is being given,” he added. 

Five residents were injured in north Kashmir’s Bandipora region when heavy shelling hit the Bagtore Sector in Gurez. “All the five injured are getting treatment,” an authority stated. 

Besides, seven others were injured in the Sawjian Sector in the Pir Panjal’s Poonch in Pakistan due to bombardment. “Bombardment at a bus stand left civilians injured,” an army official in Poonch reported. 

In the interim, a Srinagar-based Army representative said the dubious development of infiltrators was likewise seen at the forward posts along the LoC in the Keran Sector on Friday. 

However, this was the subsequent infiltration attempt by Pakistan inside a week. On November 8, three army officers, one BSF officer, and three militants were executed during a counter-firing in Machil area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara region.
