Scientist and entrepreneur Shiva Ayyadurai, who was born in Mumbai, India, has joined the 2024 US Presidential Elections as an independent candidate, making him the fourth Indian-American to do so. 

He announced his campaign bid recently, stating that he aims to serve America beyond the traditional political divisions of “Left” and “Right.”

His decision to run for President came shortly after two other Indian-Americans, Hirsh Vardhan Singh and Nikki Haley, announced their bids for the Republican nomination. Vivek Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur, is also running from the same party.
