India Wins Gold In Women’s Asian Lawn Bowls Championships: 2023

Nayanmoni Saikia, Rupa Rani Tirkey, Lovely Choubey, and Pinki, won gold medals at the Asian Lawn Bowls Championships 2023 by defeating Malaysia in the final.

The same quartet team of Nayanmoni Saikia, Rupa Rani Tirkey, Lovely Choubey, and Pinki had won the Gold medals in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022, which was India’s 1st Commonwealth Games medal in Lawn Bowls Championships.

While Team India’s performance in the Women’s T20 World Cup may have been disappointing, the Asian Lawn Bowls Championships 2023 had a fantastic day.

The Indian women’s lawn bowling team took home the gold medal at the competition, which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Pinki, Rupa Rani Tirkey, Lovely Choubey, and Nayanmoni Saikia were on the winning team that won the Fours competition.

“On my own and on behalf of my teammates, I want to thank everyone. I’m sending you my best wishes for continued success.

Thank you everyone “Nayanmoni Saikia thanked all of her supporters and well-wishers on her social media profile.

The women’s fours team earned the gold medal thanks to their outstanding abilities and cohesiveness.

They had to put up a fierce fight with the host. The Malaysian team put up a valiant fightback, but team India ultimately prevailed.

The same team that last year’s Commonwealth Games gold medalists were, introducing the sport with a triumph.

At the Asian Lawn Bowls Championships, India took home four medals in total, including two in the Women’s Fours tournament.

At the women’s team competition, which was contested in China in 2009, India last took home a gold medal. Pinki and Rupa Rani also participated in such team activities.

The game of lawn bowls is becoming increasingly famous in Australia, England, and South Africa, but Indian women are suddenly overtaking the lead.
