India-UAE Partnership Aims For 450 GW of Renewable Energy By 2030: Official

The President & CEO of Dubai Chambers of Commerce gave his official statements about the bilateral partnerships between India & UAE for clean & renewable energy

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah is the The President and CEO of Dubai Chambers of Commerce, he said India and UAE were old energy partners. He told that India is the third leading importer and consumer of UAE crude oil.

Bilateral Partnership For Clean Energy Goals

The ambition, according to Lootah, is in line with the UAE’s plans to increase its clean energy capabilities in order to meet the goals set forth in the UAE Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative and the targets of the UAE Energy Strategy by 2050, who spoke to PTI on the verge of the India-UAE Partnership Summit on Tuesday.

Because both nations collaborate to create a more sustainable future, Lootah said, “we anticipate increased collaboration in renewable energy, particularly solar power and hydrogen.”

India’s Aims For 450 GW of Renewable Energy

A senior official stated on Tuesday that the UAE’s increased collaboration with India in the fields of climate change and clean energy seeks to help New Delhi’s target to reach 450 gigawatts of installed renewable energy capacity by 2030 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.

CEPA Benefits For India & UAE

Lootah emphasized the advantages of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and India, saying it will increase bilateral commerce between the two countries to USD 100 billion within five years.

He stated that it will cover a wide range of collaboration and advancements in trade, commerce, tourism, food security, clean energy, research, health, and technology, as well as in the military and space industries.

Lootah added that CEPA gave India and the UAE fresh ways to work together and take advantage of the numerous business prospects presented by the energy transformation.

Bilateral Ties In Healthcare And Agritech

Lootah emphasized the importance of healthcare and agritech in the development of bilateral ties, noting that these sectors have received a lot of attention from the two nations, who are now closer than ever in achieving robust collaboration in these fields.

During the epidemic, India and the UAE demonstrated their bilateral collaboration in healthcare and medical best practices. 

Now, they are planning to create new health alliances that will be fueled by the most recent advancements in medical research, technology, and innovation.

Furthermore, Lootah stated, “I think the two countries will keep encouraging cooperation in this crucial field to assure cutting-edge healthcare systems and the wellness of people on both sides.”
