Do you know over 1,000 women from minority (Hindu, Christian & Sikh) communities are forcibly taken, converted, and married off every year in Pakistan?
India (Bharat) has strongly criticized Pakistan for bringing up the Kashmir issue at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Bharat called on Pakistan to address terrorism and vacate the Indian territories (PoK) under its illegal control.
Bharat firmly replied in response to Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar’s remarks at the UNGA regarding Kashmir.
Bharat asked Pakistan to dismantle its terrorist infrastructure and give up areas it has occupied against international law. Bharat also pointed out Pakistan’s human rights violations against minorities and asked Pakistan to stop these actions.
Pakistan’s caretaker prime minister had stated at the UNGA, “Bharat has avoided implementing the Security Council’s resolutions.
It calls for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to decide their fate through a UN-supervised plebiscite. Since August 2019, Bharat has stationed 900,000 troops in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to impose its solution.”
In Bharat’s response, Petal Gahlot, the First Secretary at the United Nations, criticized Pakistan for consistently spreading baseless and harmful propaganda against Bharat. Petal Gahlot stated,
“Pakistan has repeatedly misused this (UN) forum to spread pointless and evil claims against Bharat. Member states of the United Nations know that Pakistan does this to divert attention from its poor human rights record.”
She emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of Bharat and domestic matters. Gahlot reminded Pakistan of its abysmal human rights record, particularly concerning minorities and women’s rights.
She rightly said that Pakistan is a country with one of the world’s worst human rights records, especially towards minorities and women.
Pakistan should focus on improving its own situation before criticizing Bharat, the world’s largest democracy.
Gahlot cited examples of minority victimization in Pakistan. She also noted that Pakistan’s ports have the most internationally designated terrorists globally.
In August 2023, there was a terrible attack on the Christian community in Jaranwala, Faisalabad District, Pakistan. This attack led to the burning of 19 churches and the destruction of 89 homes belonging to Christian families.
Women from minority groups, such as Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians, are facing a tough situation in Pakistan.
According to Pakistan’s Human Rights Commission, about 1,000 women from these minority communities are forcibly taken, converted, and married off every year.
Additionally, Pakistan is known for having many groups and individuals that have been internationally recognized as terrorists.
Bharat asked Pakistan to take authentic and reliable action against those responsible for terror attacks in Bharat. Pakistan is directed to initiate 3-4 actions to take for peace in South Asia:
Pakistan has been complaining about Bharat (India) at different international meetings and asking the other Western countries to interfere. It hasn’t realized yet that everything has changed.
Pakistan’s so-called guardian, China, is busy dealing with its own internal issues and has made enemies with many countries.

Pakistan also can’t anymore get the support from Middle Eastern and Gulf countries because they have also understood it’s wise to ally with Bharat, not Pakistan.
Western countries can easily see that India is the world’s fastest growing economy. India’s technology and foreign policies are gaining recognition worldwide.
India’s government has also changed. It’s no longer a country that used to fear Pakistan, but a country that even combats and controls China.
Currently India is such a country the world wants to partner with, whether it’s Western, European, Australian, or African nations. India has consistently helped other nations whenever needed.
However, Pakistan still couldn’t understand why any country would support such a weak and deceitful country struggling with serious economic, terrorism, and political issues.
