India Step Up Surveillance To Protect Ships, Sea Lanes In Arabian Sea

In the Arabian Sea, there’s a tense situation right now. India has sent five of its most advanced warships to keep an eye on things. This action is in response to some dangerous activities happening in that area.

Near West Asia, especially around the Arabian Sea, there’s been some trouble. This includes attacks on ships, which is a big worry. The Indian Navy has deployed warships named INS Kolkata, INS Kochi, INS Mormugao, INS Chennai, and INS Visakhapatnam.

These ships are equipped with powerful missiles called Brahmos. They are in different locations in the sea to monitor and protect the area.

Apart from these ships, India is also using aircraft for surveillance. These include the Boeing P8I, which is used for finding submarines, and a type of drone called the Predator. They’re keeping an eye on the sea for any unusual or suspicious activities.

The Indian Coast Guard is also involved. They’re using aircraft called Dornier and patrol vessels to make sure the Indian coast is safe.

Now, why is all this happening? Simply, it’s because of some incidents in the region. For example, a chemical tanker called MV Chem Pluto was attacked off the coast of Gujarat. This made India more alert and careful.

Other countries are also active in this region. The United States has its aircraft carriers, like Gerald Ford and Dwight Eisenhower, in nearby seas. They are there to stop missile and drone attacks on ships.

Countries like Spain, Italy, France, and Japan are also in this area, each doing their part to maintain safety. China has warships near Djibouti, but they’re keeping a distance from these conflicts.

India’s main goal is to protect the ships and the sea lanes, which are very important for trade. This includes guarding against attacks, piracy, and any other threats to safety. The Indian Navy and Coast Guard are working hard to keep the seas safe and secure, especially for the ships traveling through these areas.
