Pakistani UN Showoff: The Pakistani UN representative Munir Akram recently tried to defame India by sharing a dossier alleging India’s involvement in acts of terrorism at a UN meeting. The same was met with a harsh rebuke from T.S. Tirumurti, India’s permanent representative to the UN, conveying the country’s position on this share of a dossier full of proofs against India.
Tirumurti brought the council’s attention back to the point that Pakistan is known to have given refuge to the slain Al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden despite the US demanding of his release.
The dossier presented has been called a body of lies and something that ‘enjoys zero credibility’. Tirumurti was referring to Abbottabad, Pakistani garrison town where Osama Bin Laden was killed in May 2011 by US special forces in a compound located a short distance from the country’s main training facility for military officers.
Pakistan has been trying to make India look as the terror culprit, after India went on heavily on some Pakistani militants that had tried to enter India through the Jammu and Kashmir border. The dossier unveiled by Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and chief military spokesman Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar in an attempt to try to present a dossier to defame India’s stance against its cracking down on Pakistani militants.
Pakistan has been greatly working alongside Turkey in training and military knowhow. Turkey has been also helping Islamabad in creating sleeper cells and recruiting youth from South India to run its terror operations. India has vowed to crackdown on such sleeper cells and discourage terrorist movement through border areas lining between India and Pakistan.
