India Returns Canada’s Favor, Expels Canadian Diplomat

Canada’s PM made some allegations on India regarding Khalistani terrorists. His administration expelled the senior Indian diplomat. India returned the favor!

Recently the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that India is involved in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, Canada.

The Canadian PM has said that Nijjar’s killing occurred on June 18, 2023 and Canadian security agencies found a link between the Indian government and the killing during their investigation. He had also raised this issue with PM Modi during the G20 Summit.

The Khalistani terrorist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar was the Chief of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). He had moved to Canada in the late 1990s. In 2020, India designated him as a terrorist. However Canada decided to protect the terrorist within its territory.

The Indian government strictly refuted these fake allegations and called these assertions “absurd and motivated.” The Indian government emphasized that India is a democratic country and it’s strongly committed to its rules, law and constitution.

India further asserted that the Canadian administration is trying to divert the attention of Khalistani terrorists and extremists, who are residing in Canada.

Such Khalistani terrorists and extremists have been posing a threat to India’s sovereignty and integrity for a long period. But Canada never took any action against them.

India expressed its deep concern and alleged that the Canadian political leaders are openly sympathizing and protecting such terrorists and extremists.

The Indian government firmly refuted all the fake claims of any link to the killing. India urged Canada to take immediate and effective legal actions against all ‘anti-India elements’ operating from its territory.

The Canadian foreign minister Mélanie Joly alleged that the top diplomat Pavan Kumar Rai had a significant link to the murder of the Khalistani terrorist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Following these fake allegations, Canada expelled the top Indian diplomat.

In return, India also expelled the senior Canadian diplomat ‘Olivier Sylvestere’ who was a Canadian intel chief. India asked him to leave its country in the next 5 days. The Canadian diplomat was interfering in the internal affairs and he was also engaged in anti-India activities.

India’s Former R&AW Chief Vikram Sood criticized the Canadian PM Justin Trudeau for causing disputes between the two friend nations.

He argued that two sovereign countries should resolve these issues through a productive discussion, but Trudeau took unsatisfactory actions during his 2018 visit and G20 summit.

The killed Najjar was a terrorist and extremist, but it seems that the Canadian PM is trying to sympathize with him and supporting such negative elements, within their territory.

The US and Australia have been concerned on this matter and also condemned Canada’s fake allegations. They urged both countries to solve the issue with talks.

The Canadian political leaders must understand that India and Canada are not enemies. Plus, India is emerging as a superpower at the international stage. Thus they should focus on building healthier bilateral relationships.
