Last updated on December 14th, 2023 at 06:42 pm

The Quad Summit is not just about political talks; it’s about making sure that our region remains peaceful and that countries can grow and develop freely. Hosting the next summit is a proud moment for India, showing our important role in global matters.

The meeting, which was originally planned for January 2024 in India, has been postponed. This means the gathering of leaders from the United States, Japan, and Australia, along with our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, won’t happen around Republic Day as we thought.

What is the Quad Summit?

The Quad Summit is a meeting of four countries: the United States, India, Japan, and Australia. These countries come together to talk about how they can work together to keep peace and follow rules in the Indo-Pacific region, a very important area of the world.

This Year’s Quad Summit

This year 2023, the summit was held in Hiroshima, Japan. Leaders from the four countries, including India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, met to discuss various issues and ways to cooperate.

Next Quad Summit in India

Looking ahead, the next Quad Summit is proposed to take place in India in 2024. The exact dates are still being worked out, but it’s a big deal for India to host such an important international meeting after the successful G20 summit.

Importance of Quad In Indo-Pacific Region

So, why is the Quad so important, especially for the Indo-Pacific region? This group of countries shares common goals and values. They want to ensure that all countries in the region can make their own decisions without pressure or threats from other countries. They also focus on things like clean energy, technology, and keeping the seas open and safe for everyone.
