India Becomes 5th Largest Economy Of The World In 2022

PM Modi said that India has become the 5th largest economy of the world in 2022. The country has crossed the $400 billion (₹33 lakh crore) mark in exports.

The year 2022 that is coming to an end was inspirational and wonderful for India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Sunday while he highlighted the many achievements the country has made in this time, while making it an “special place” in the world. 

In his final ‘Mann ki Baat’ segment of the year Modi also mentioned research conducted by the Tata Memorial Center to argue that India’s traditional practices such as yoga, and Ayurveda are being resisted by the foundation of evidence-based medical practices in the present day.

In a speech praising the achievements of the country in 2022 the Prime Minister claimed it was the fifth largest economy in the world it surpassed the record breaking “incredible” figure of 220 crore Covid vaccine doses and surpassed that “magical” export figure of USD 400 billion (one billion equals 100 crore).

The nation embraced and was living its commitment to self-reliant India and was thrilled to welcome the first aircraft carrier indigenous to India INS Vikrant in addition to having achieved recognition in drone, space and defense industries during the last year, he stated.

Modi stated, “In 2022, the strength of people of the country, their cooperation, their resolve, their vast success was of such magnitude that it would be difficult to include all of those in ‘Mann Ki Baat’. 2022 has indeed been very inspiring and wonderful in many ways.”

India celebrated their 75th year of Independence in the year “Amrit Kaal” also started. In this year, the country experienced an additional momentum, he said.

In the realm of sports, whether it’s for the Commonwealth Games or the performance of our women’s hockey squad, our youngsters have demonstrated their immense potential, the Prime Minister stated.

Extending the spirit of “Ek Bharat-Shreshtha-Bharat’ (one India, great India) Numerous events were held according to him, including examples of the Madhavpur Mela that was held in Gujarat along with the Kashi Tamil Sangamam situated in Varanasi.

“Who can forget the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign organized in the month of August,” he added in addition to the fact that over six crore people took photos of themselves wearing the tricolor.

With India being elected as the president of the G20 group, Modi said the country must take the excitement about it to new heights , and transform it into a mass campaign in 2023.

The PM also highlighted the efforts to prove the effectiveness of our transformational practices for healing mental and physical health, the Prime Minister pointed out that the lack of scientifically-based research within the text of our scriptures on yoga and Ayurveda was always an issue despite the tangible outcomes. 

“I am happy that in the era of evidence-based medicine, yoga and Ayurveda are now standing up to the touchstone of tests of the modern era,” the PM stated.

A thorough study conducted by Tata Memorial Centre Tata Memorial Centre which is renowned for its treatment of cancer and research, was presented at the world-renowned annual breast cancer symposium in the US and the findings have drawn the attention of world-renowned experts.

According to research conducted by this center, regular exercise in yoga has reduced the likelihood of recurrence, as well as the chance of death for patients with breast cancer by 15 according to the doctor. 

“This is the first example of Indian traditional medicine being tested vis a vis the stringent standards of Western methods. Also, this is the first study, in which yoga has been found to improve the quality of life in women affected by breast cancer. Its long term benefits have also come to the fore,” He said.

The Tata Memorial Center has presented its findings from its study in the European Society of Medical Oncology conference in Paris, the doctor said. 

“In today’s era, the more evidence-based Indian medical systems are, the more their acceptance will increase in the whole world. With this thought, an effort is also being made in Delhi’s AIIMS,” the premier said.
