India Beats Thailand In Junior Kabaddi World Championships 2023

India defeated Thailand in their first Group C match. The Indian team is led by Ankush Rathee, who had scored most tackle points in the PKL 2022-23.

On Wednesday, six league stage matches from the current 2nd Junior World Kabaddi Championship were played (March 1). The matches were played in Urmia, Iran, as usual.

In Pool C, Team India made a statement by defeating Thailand 67-34 in the opening round. In the second game of the morning, Nepal easily defeated Georgia by a score of 84-17.

Pakistan defeated Georgia by a score of 73-30 to take first place in Group D and go to the quarterfinals. Iran, the defending champions, defeated Uganda by a score of 67-27 to go to the quarterfinals.

Furthermore, Kenya defeated Palestine with a score of 75-14 in a lopsided match. India defeated Bangladesh 74-23 in their second game, which they played on Wednesday.

The top two Kabaddi teams from each pool will face off in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 2.

India has defeated Thailand with a score of 67 – 34 under Pool C in the first match. India also beat Bangladesh with a 74-23 score under Pool C in the 6th match.

1st Day Highlights: Junior Kabaddi World Championship 2023

The second Junior Kabaddi World Championship 2023 began on February 28 in Urmia, Iran.

Chinese Taipei began the day’s play against Uganda’s 2nd team, surprising the latter with a 42-40 victory. Kenya, who finished as tournament runners-up last year, lost their opening game to Iraq, who defeated them 56-39 in Pool B.

The last time, Bangladesh, who won the bronze medal, got off to a fast start under the Indian coach Mr. Srinivas Reddy. They triumphed over Thailand 69–43.

Iran, the defending champion, defeated Chinese Taipei by a score of 62-25 to get their season started. With a 61-41 advantage over Nepal, the Pakistani squad won.

Iraq defeated Palestine in the evening’s final match by a score of 69-16.
