The IT & Telecom Minister awarded Indian professionals 100 patents in 6G technology at the Bharat startup summit. On the other hand, the US & UK joined hands for 6G.
Indian scientists, engineers, academicians, and technicians were awarded with 100 patents in 6G technology on March 16 at the Bharat Startup Summit, which was put on by the PHD Chamber of Commerce.
The award was given by Ashwini Vaishnaw, the country’s minister of information technology and telecommunications.

In her remarks at the event, she claimed that India is leading the world in 5G technology advancements thanks to its quick global network rollout.
Electronics is a very complex field, but Vaishnaw noted that despite this complexity, Indian scientists, engineers, and academicians have collectively obtained 100 patents in 6G.
The Minister added that 397 towns are now covered by the 5G network, far exceeding the target of 200 cities by March 31, 2023.
He stated that India’s economy had increased to $3.15 trillion and that it had the potential to overtake the United States as the largest economy if it changed its infrastructure, commercial practices, and governance methods.
“Thousands of systems need to be changed when a nation or economy reaches this level. Systems of governance, logistics, banking, and modification of internal business practices.
Now is the time for everyone to start their transformation journey. Vaishnaw noted that India could become a $30 trillion economy if it is successful in transforming itself.
If at all we are able to do this transformation, then there is no power that can stop India from becoming a USD 30 trillion economy,” he said.
The minister also disclosed that ten years prior to their manufacture, 99 percent of mobile phones in India were imported.
“I can still see the discussions we used to attend ten years ago. Mobile usage is apparently widely spread. It is being used, but it cannot be produced. Congress believed that this was how the procedure worked.”
Vaishnaw stated, “Now that a significant change has occurred, we can handle it. India has already started exporting telecom products to America, he said.
In the past 7-8 months, India has begun exporting radio equipment, and that too to America, according to Vaishnaw. Union Minister Jitendra Singh highlighted the importance of investigating businesses related to the ocean economy.
Minerals, metals, and other living and non-living resources are abundant there. You’ll start exporting fisheries and fish food to other countries, he predicted.
The United States and the United Kingdom have declared their intentions to create a formal research collaboration agreement, which will include provisions for strategic cooperation on the creation and introduction of 6G technology.
Both nations plan to release a joint statement of intent during the coming year stating their goals for creating “proposals on future tech, such as 6G,” and intensifying collaboration in “digital technical standards.”
