India And Sri Lanka Reconnect After 40 Years Through Ferry Service

India’s Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka are back in touch by sea after 40 years! With this ferry service, traveling, trading, and exchanging technology became easier.

A new ferry service just started between Tamil Nadu’s Nagapattinam and Sri Lanka’s Kankesanturai. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Sri Lankan President Wickremesinghe attended the event virtually. This service is a big deal because it’s the first in nearly 40 years!
