Housefull 5: Akshay-Riteish To Reunite For The Comedy Franchise

The Bollywood comedy franchise, Housefull, is set to make a comeback with its fifth installment, titled ‘Housefull 5.’ Actor Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh will reunite for this comedy extravaganza.

Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to share the film’s poster and announce its release date, stating that Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, will hit the cinemas on Diwali in 2024.

The Housefull series has been a major hit among audiences, and Housefull 5 will be the first franchise film in Indian cinema to have more than four sequels.

Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have been constants throughout the franchise, bringing their comedic talents to each film. The earlier parts were directed by Sajid Khan and the duo Sajid-Farhad, respectively.

Fans expressed their expectations in the comments section, with questioning about its concept & plot. As some of its editions were filled with insincere jokes and a poor plot.

However the makers of Housefull 5 are promising to deliver ‘five times the madness’, continuing the humorous tone and tempo of the previous films.

The director of Housefull 5, Tarun Mansukhani, is known for his previous films like ‘Dostana’ and ‘Drive.’ This will be the first time he directs a movie that is not produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

Mansukhani’s expertise in comedy and his past successes indicate a promising addition to the Housefull franchise.

Housefull 5 is expected to be a laughter-filled ride, providing entertainment and fun to the audience. While the complete cast of the film has not been revealed yet, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Chunkey Pandey have been part of all the previous installments.

Sajid Nadiadwala’s production company, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, is backing the film, and with the release set for Diwali 2024, fans can anticipate a joyous and hilarious celebration on the big screen.

Apart from Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar will also be featured in the film ‘OMG 2’ alongside Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam, while Riteish Deshmukh will be seen in the horror comedy film ‘Kakuda’ movie, featuring Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem.
