Hemant Soren Returns as Jharkhand CM with Oath Ceremony on July 7th

After releasing from the jail, Hemant Soren will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand on July 7th. Several ministers are expected to take their oaths as well. This decision comes after Hemant Soren was re-elected as the leader of the legislative party during a meeting of the INDIA coalition MLAs. After this current Chief Minister Champai Soren submitted his resignation.

Hemant Soren told reporters that the official announcement will come soon. He also confirmed that all processes for government formation are complete.

Sources indicate that Hemant Soren will take the oath of office and secrecy on July 7th, along with a few ministers.

Three New Faces Expected in the Cabinet

The new government will include ministers from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal. The names are not clear yet.

One Congress minister is currently imprisoned, and another minister’s performance has been deemed unsatisfactory. The party is expected to replace these ministers. Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir had previously hinted that a minister might be replaced due to dissatisfaction with their performance, but the name has not been disclosed yet.

The Current Chief Minister and the Transition

Champai Soren has resigned, he was the current CM of Jharkhand. Until Hemant Soren takes the oath, Champai Soren will continue as the acting Chief Minister.

After being cleared by the High Court and released from jail, Hemant Soren was re-elected as the leader of the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition’s legislative party.

New CM of Jharkhand’s Oath Ceremony…

Hemant Soren is expected to take the oath as Jharkhand’s Chief Minister on July 7th. Along with him, a few ministers will also be sworn in. This follows his re-election as the leader of the legislative party and Champai Soren’s resignation. If Hemant Soren takes the oath on July 7th, he will become Jharkhand’s 13th Chief Minister. He has previously served as the Chief Minister twice.
