In Hindi films, KK, or Krishna Kumar Kunnath, is not a new name. The sound of this name has captured the hearts of people all around the country. 

In addition to Hindi, KK has performed songs in films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, and Gujarati. 

Even though the great singer is no longer with us, the enchantment of his voice is still felt on a global scale.

35,000 Jingles Before Filmy Music Career

KK, who was born on August 23, 1968, attended Delhi’s Mount St. Mary’s School before graduating from Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College. 

Before landing his big break in movies, KK had already performed in almost 35,000 jingles. Additionally, he performed the song “Josh of India” to encourage the Indian team at the 1999 Cricket World Cup. 

This song of his also featured a lot of Indian cricket players. Following this, KK launched his singing career with the album Pal.

Self-Learnt & Wonderful Music Artist

KK, who has contributed a number of popular songs to the film industry, has never had formal vocal instruction. He was constantly moved by the music of RD Burman and Kishore Kumar.

The song Tadap Tadap Ke from the well-known movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was performed by KK. The singer’s life was altered by this song. In the year 2000, he won the Filmfare Award for this song. 

In addition to singing title songs for movies, he has also done so for TV shows including Just Mohabbat, Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Hip-Hip Hurray, and Kavyanjali.

KK Started His Career As A Salesman

In terms of his personal life, KK married Jyoti Krishna in 1991, the woman he had loved since he was a young boy. Before getting married, they had to find a job, so KK spent eight months working as a salesman in the hospitality sector. 

Nakul and Tamra are two of KK and Jyoti’s kids. We’d like to let you know that Nakul included the song “Masti” in his album ‘Humsafar’.

KK was appearing at a musical event in Kolkata on May 31, 2022. After that, he arrived at the hotel and passed out, falling to the bed. 

When Singer arrived at the hospital, the medical staff confirmed him dead. However KK has gone from this world but he is still alive among his fans through his iconic voice.
