Govt Envisions To Make India A Developed Nation By 2047

Last updated on September 4th, 2023 at 11:17 am

Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India spoke about his vision for the country as it celebrated 75 years of independence.

He stated that by the year 2047, India will be a developed nation, free from corruption, casteism, and communalism.

He also mentioned that the world now looks to India for ideas and guidance, and that India is shifting from being seen as a country of hungry people to one billion of aspirational minds and skilled people.

PM Modi highlighted India’s demographic potential and the opportunity to lay the foundation for long-term growth. He cautioned against irresponsible financial policies and populism, emphasizing their negative consequences.

He also expressed confidence in India’s ability to host high-profile global events outside of Delhi, dispelling notions of regional limitations.

India’s G20 Presidency has boosted the confidence of third-world countries and aligned them with the trajectory of global growth.

PM Modi also emphasized India’s domestic approach to uplift marginalized communities as a guiding principle in its global engagements.

He also addressed India’s stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, stating that dialogue and diplomacy are the only means to resolve conflicts.

India’s neutral stance and continued trade relationship with Russia were defended as being in the best interest of its citizens.

On the issue of climate change, PM Modi emphasized the need for new and better approaches as there are no one-size-fits-all solutions in the fight against this global challenge.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India has defended the decision to hold G20 meetings in different parts of the country, including in the disputed regions of Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh.

China and Pakistan had objected to these events, but Modi stated that it is natural for India to showcase its cultural and regional diversity on a global stage.

He argued that since India is a vast and diverse nation, it is only natural for G20 meetings to be held in different parts of the country. India has already dismissed the claims made by China and Pakistan.

India recently hosted the third G20 working group meeting on tourism in Srinagar, Kashmir, and a G20 event in Arunachal Pradesh. These events were attended by delegates from all G20 countries except China.

Modi stated that by the end of India’s G20 presidency term, over 220 meetings would have taken place across 60 cities in all 28 states and eight union territories.

He also mentioned that over 100,000 participants from around 125 nationalities would witness the new India.
