Google Search Downtime Recover After Global Outage

Google, Google Maps & other Google portals were facing downtime. A global outage has been detected by Downdetector. More than 40,000 issues have been reported.

On Monday, Google, owned by Alphabet Inc., was unavailable to thousands of customers, according to the outage monitoring website Downdetector.com. Not just Google search suffered from this issue. 

A number of other Google programs, including Google Photos, Google Maps, Google Drive, Google Duo, etc., were also affected by the outage. The services now seem to be available.

No outage is visible, according to Google’s own app status dashboard. Google has not yet made a remark regarding this.

According to Downdetector, which analyzes outages by compiling status updates from various sources including user-submitted faults on its platform, there were over 40,000 cases of users reporting problems with the largest search engine in the world.

The majority of users had a 500 error, which denotes a server issue. For the time being, most Indian consumers’ access to Google services seems to have been restored. If the problem persists, please let us know.

Google has officially recognized the problem and claimed that it was caused by a “software update issue.” They stated,

“We regret the inconvenience. We are aware of a software upgrade issue that temporarily affected the availability of Google Search and Maps. 

Our services are now operational again after working promptly to resolve the problem, the company stated in a statement.”
