Google Generative AI Chatbot Bard Is Now Available In India

Sundar Pichai announced in Google I/O 2023 event that Google is rolling out its generative AI chatbot & ChatGPT rival ‘Bard’ in 180 countries, including India.

The CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, announced that the Bard chatbot will now be accessible in more than 180 countries on Wednesday at the much-awaited Google I/O 2023 event. The competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT has also eliminated the required waitlist for access.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, was addressed at the Google I/O Developers Conference in Mountain View, California, United States, on May 10, 2023. In response to fierce competition from rival AI tools, the tech giant’s chatbot also includes a number of new upgrades.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai launched the highly anticipated Google I/O event on Wednesday at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, in front of a limited live audience. 

The CEO of the tech behemoth made significant announcements concerning artificial intelligence.

In its most recent publication, Google stated in a blog post, “As we continue to make enhancements and add new features, we want to get Bard into the hands of more people so they can try it out and provide us with feedback. Today, we are eliminating the waitlist and opening Bard to more than 180 countries and territories, with more to come.”

Large language models (LLM) are still in their infancy, thus the search engine behemoth declared that “quality standards and regional variations will be followed while maintaining AI principles.”

Bard, which is powered by Google’s most recent LLM PaLM 2, will now operate in Japanese and Korean and intends to add support for 40 additional languages. 

Using the PaLM2 language paradigm, Bard is now capable of coding, debugging, advanced math, and reasoning in over 20 programming languages.

Previously, Bard was only available to individuals in the United States and the United Kingdom via a waiting list. Due to the fact that Bard is presently in the testing phase, it is susceptible to inaccuracies. 

The company recommends double-checking the bot’s responses due to the fact that Bard is experimental.
