Google Docs Will Now Support eSignatures For Online Contracts

Google Docs is going to avail the feature of eSignature for easy digital contracts between 2 parties. First it will be available for Google Workspace beta users.

Everything about our everyday life is changing as technology advances quickly. Tasks that once required manual labor may now be completed extremely precisely on computers and cellphones. 

This very change indicates that we needed to modify how we conduct business, and that change has taken place. 

Today, we witness meetings taking place online and business deals being closed with simply a digital signature on a piece of paper that isn’t even real.

In the past, if we wanted to digitally sign a document, we had to search for websites or applications that offered those options, and most of the time, those websites or apps required subscriptions to function, which was a major nuisance.

Finding free trials was much worse, but the true risk was that your credit card information might be taken while you were pretending to be a subscriber.

Google Docs just announced that they will soon offer e-signature within the program itself, which has resolved those issues. 

Users of Google Docs will soon have the option to ask someone for an electronic signature on a document.

Two new features in the document will aid with this:

• a Signature field that users may use to sign the document and
• a Date signed field that records the date it was signed.

A copy of the contract will be emailed to both parties once the signature has been completed. 

Once the contract has been prepared and reviewed, one party may ask the other for a signature or date by adding either one or both of these fields. 

There is an option that will allow you to produce numerous copies of the same contract in case you require multiple copies for many different signers.

According to Google, this tool would initially launch as a betting feature before becoming fully available.
