Google Chrome Is The Most Unprotected Web Browser: Report

Google Chrome is proved to be the most vulnerable web browser among all other browsers. A report says that Google Chrome has 3,159 vulnerabilities till date.

According to a recent survey released by Atlas VPN, Google Chrome is regarded as the market’s most susceptible browser.

According to the research, Google has developed the most vulnerabilities, with 303 flaws and a total of 3,159 flaws as of 2022. 

According to the research, these numbers were calculated using information from the VulDB vulnerability database between January 1 and October 5, 2022.

The CVE program keeps track of security holes and weaknesses across a variety of platforms.

What Is A Web Browser?

A web browser is a package of software that makes it easy and efficient to find content on the Internet. 

There are several different web browsers available on the market, including Mozilla’s Firefox, Apple’s Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Opera. However, the most used internet search engine is Google Chrome.

3,159 Vulnerabilities In Google Chrome

According to the research, only Google Chrome has experienced security flaws in the first 5 days of October. The following are the vulnerabilities: CVE-2022-3318, CVE-2022-3314, CVE-2022-3311, CVE-2022-3309, and CVE-2022-3307.

However, users can update to Google Chrome version 106.0.5249.61 to resolve these errors and problems.

The second most susceptible browser on the list is Mozilla’s Firefox. It has 117 vulnerabilities, according to the research. 

The Safari web browser had 26 flaws in the first 3-quarters of 2022, and there have been 1,139 vulnerabilities overall since its release, according to the research. 

Apple has been putting a lot of effort into making sure its browser is safe to use and has over a billion users as of May 2022. The 2022 version of the Opera browser had only discovered 344 total vulnerabilities.
