Google Assistant Users To Get New Parental Controls Soon

Google is going to roll out new parental controls with children-friendly voices including Kids Dictionary in its `Google Assistant` device.

Google is introducing 4 latest kid-friendly voices to the Google Assistant in order to make it more kid-friendly. 

To assist parents in deciding which services their children can access through the Assistant, the business is also introducing new parental controls.

The new kid-friendly Google Assistant voices “talk in softer and more descriptive ways to help with narrative and aid comprehension,” according to Google.

Simply asking the Assistant to “change your voice,” children can activate these voices. 

According to Google, the additional kid-friendly voices are depicted by vibrant tiles on Assistant devices with displays. As a result, modifying the Assistant’s voice ought to be a more enjoyable experience.

Along with the new voices, Google is also introducing a new Kids Dictionary feature for the Assistant, which offers responses that are appropriate for each user’s age on all Assistant-enabled devices. 

On Assistant systems with a display, the feature also offers a variety of illustrations along with the solutions.

Regarding parental controls, Google is introducing additional tools to assist parents in deciding which music and video services their children are allowed to access on devices with the Assistant. 

Additionally, the firm is offering the option to limit which Assistant functions, such as Actions for Families, phone and video chats, and the kind of responses youngsters receive.

Additionally, parents will be able to decide which Assistant devices their children can use and when during the day. 

Over the next few weeks, these parental controls will become available on the Family Link, Google Assistant, and Google Home apps for iOS and Android. 

To use these services, users must have a Google Account that is controlled through Family Link and has Voice Match turned on.

Only a few weeks prior, Google was purportedly strengthening its hardware business by diverting resources from the Assistant.
