US-based company Garmin has launched its latest wearables Forerunner 965 & Forerunner 265 in India, in the presence of Indian sprint star Hima Das.
Three different smartwatches have been introduced by US-based Garmin in India. The wearables made their debut during the launch ceremony, in the presence of India’s Sprinter Hima Das.
The Forerunner 965, Forerunner 265 Music, and Forerunner 265S Music are the newest smartwatches in the lineup.
The Forerunner wearables have AMOLED panels, GPS, and a variety of fitness and health-related capabilities.
The Forerunner 965 has a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with a 454 × 454 display resolution. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 DX and features a titanium bezel.
The Forerunner 265, on the other hand, offers a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen with a 416 × 416 resolution. Gorilla Glass 4 shields the screen. According to sources, the 265 boasts a 1.1-inch AMOLED screen with a 360 × 360 resolution.
In terms of battery life, Garmin states that the 965 can provide up to 23 days of support when used as a smartwatch (up to 31 hours with GPS).
With regard to the 265, smartwatches have a battery life of up to 13 days and 20 hours when GPS is enabled. Finally, the 265S has a backup of up to 24 hours in GPS-only mode and 15 days in other modes.
The Forerunner 965 includes features geared at marathons and running, like stride length, vertical oscillation, and Acute Chronic Workload Ratio.
The watch also includes heart rate and SpO2 sensors. Additionally, it includes numerous sports modes, sleep tracking, and stress monitoring.
When it comes to connectivity, it has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The Forerunner line from Garmin was the company’s first smartwatch with a running-specific design.
The user can download music from streaming services like Deezer, Spotify, and Amazon Music using the Forerunner 265S Music.
