Ganga Expressway To Launch Before Maha Kumbh Mela In 2025

The Meerut-Prayagraj Ganga Expressway is planned to be inaugurated before Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. The 594 km highway project will connect 12 districts.

The Ganga Expressway is a 594-kilometer highway between Meerut and Prayagraj and is expected to be finished by January 2025, in time for the Maha Kumbh Mela. 

The project, which will traverse through 12 districts and cost Rs 36,000 crore to construct, will help the local economy.

It is anticipated to give the economy of this region the much-needed boost it needs and will also make it simpler for pilgrims to go to Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela.

The government has instructed the developers to finish the project by the end of 2024, despite the fact that the initial completion date was set for December 2025. If the developers are successful in meeting the deadline, they will receive financial rewards.

The finalization of the Ganga Expressway will be a significant accomplishment for the government of Uttar Pradesh.

The project will contribute to the state’s promotion as a modern and forward-thinking travel destination. The pilgrims who will be visiting the Maha Kumbh Mela in 2025 will also benefit from it.

The Ganga Expressway project is progressing as planned, with the developers having finished 25% of the construction in just five months. By December 2024, the highway, which is being constructed under a public-private partnership (PPP), should be finished.

From Meerut to Prayagraj, the expressway will run through 12 of the state’s districts. It is anticipated to give the area’s economy the much-needed boost it needs and will also make it simpler for pilgrims to go to Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela.
