“Gadar – Ek Prem Katha” was a romantic-action movie directed by Anil Sharma. It was released in 2001 and was a huge success at the box office.

The film is set during the Partition of India and follows the story of Tara Singh, a Sikh truck driver, who falls in love with Sakina, a Muslim girl from Lahore, Pakistan. The movie has been re-released recently ahead of the sequel’s release.

The trailer of Gadar 2 was launched in Mumbai, with lead actors Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel dressed as their characters Tara Singh and Sakeena. The film is set to release on August 11.
