The movie “Gadar 2” has become a massive hit at the box office, earning a whopping ₹135 crore in just its opening weekend. Starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, the film was released on August 11 and has already entered the prestigious ₹100 crore club in India.
On its third day of release, Gadar 2 collected around ₹52 crore in India, making it the highest earning day so far. The film’s opening day saw it take in ₹40.1 crore, followed by ₹43.08 crore on the second day. These impressive numbers have led to a total domestic box office collection of ₹135.18 crore.
Directed by Anil Sharma and produced by Zee Studios, Gadar 2 is a sequel to the 2001 film “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.”
In this sequel, Sunny Deol reprises his iconic role as Tara Singh, while Ameesha Patel returns as Sakeena. The story is set in 1971 and follows Tara Singh’s journey to rescue his son from the Pakistani Army.
Fans across the country are showing their immense support for Gadar 2. In a unique display of excitement, villagers in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district rode their tractors to the movie theater to watch the film.
They adorned their tractors with Gadar 2 posters and chanted patriotic slogans. This enthusiastic response showcases the film’s popularity and anticipation among the audience.
