FunSAT Launched By Skyroot’s Vikram-S Rocket Meets All Parameters

India’s first private spacetech agency Skyroot Aerospace had launched FunSAT through its Vikram-S Rocket. The mission was successful as they met all the parameters.

The CubeSat, which was launched by Space Kidz India (SKI) aboard the Vikram-S rocket, has been reported to have completed its mission successfully.

India’s first privately built rocket, the Vikram-S, which was built by Hyderabad-based startup Skyroot Aerospace, launched on November 18 from ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre as part of the “Prarambh” mission.

Prarambh, Skyroot Aerospace’s first launch attempt, was a huge success because the sounding rocket’s systems ran flawlessly.

One of the payloads that was launched on the Vikram-S rocket was FunSAT from Space Kidz India. The other two were from N-Space Tech India, and the third was BazoomQ Armenia.

The FunSAT initiative, which the corporation started last year with the goal of “making space accessible to all kids,” is where SKI’s payload was built.

The development of FunSAT reportedly involved more than 100 students from countries including India, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Along with an MCU, the FunSAT board has a few other sensors to investigate the flying environment as well as an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer to research the dynamics of the launch. It provides a chance for real-time space learning.

Along with student experiments, SKI tested a number of its innovative on-board computing and processing systems, its operating system, data compression techniques, data distribution and transfer systems, power management systems, etc. on this mission as the FunSAT management system.

SKI demonstrated that all systems performed remarkably well and that it will continue to process the data to obtain more details.

It even intended to produce a research article based on the findings of this expedition in order to publish the data.

With 18 balloon satellites, two suborbital spacecraft, and 3 orbital satellites launched to date, SKI, a Chennai-based private company, is currently the only one in India.
