This morning Friday, news is coming from Mumbai when a fire broke out at Times Tower, a seven-story commercial building in Mumbai’s Kamala Mills compound. Fire officials have classified the incident as a level 2 fire. Nine fire engines were immediately dispatched to the affected place, and firefighting efforts are ongoing.
According to various news sources, the fire started around 6:30 AM in the Lower Parel area. But later on, it spread over a big area. But the news sources are also confirming that there are no injuries or casualties have been reported at this time.
The spreading Footage from the scene shows thick smoke billowing from several building floors. Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage.
The fire has been largely contained to the electric wiring and installations on the second floor of the building, which also comprises two basement levels a ground floor, and two upper floors. Authorities are continuing their efforts, and more updates are expected as the situation develops.
