Fighter Takes Flight In Bollywood’s Aerial Action Genre, Following Tejas

The upcoming movie ‘Fighter’ has just released its trailer, and it’s creating a buzz. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, is set to hit theatres on January 25, 2024. 

It stars well-known actors Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone as the lead pair. This movie marks the first time these two are working together, and their on-screen chemistry is a talking point in Bollywood.

In ‘Fighter’, Hrithik and Deepika play the roles of Indian Air Force officers. The film is an action-packed adventure with impressive aerial scenes. Deepika’s character is Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, and Hrithik’s is Shamsher Pathania. 

Other notable actors in the movie include Anil Kapoor as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, Karan Singh Grover as Squadron Leader Sartaj Gill, and Akshay Oberoi as Squadron Leader Basheer Khan.

Director Siddharth Anand shared that Deepika’s role in the film is based on reality and authenticity. He mentioned that her character is fun and matches well with Hrithik’s character in the movie.

‘Fighter’ is produced by Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, Anku Pande, Kevin Vaz, and Ajit Andhare and co-produced by Prime Focus Studios.

The trailer, released on January 15, shows exciting action scenes and impressive dialogue. Before the trailer’s release, there was a teaser poster shared by Hrithik Roshan. 

‘Fighter’ is also notable for being the first film in a planned aerial action franchise. However, the audience has recently watched an aerial action film ‘Tejas’ starring Kangana Ranaut.

Apart from the movie itself, there’s some buzz around the film’s director, Siddharth Anand, reportedly unfollowing Deepika Padukone on social media just before the trailer launch. 

This has led to speculation about a possible rift, especially considering Deepika’s apparent reluctance to participate in promotional activities. However, it’s unclear if they were following each other previously.
