Ferrari Backs F1 Online Gaming Strategy With VGW Alliance

Lorenzo Giorgetti, The Chief Racing Revenue Officer of Ferrari, has been tasked to solidify the long-term relations with sponsors during all racing events.

In accordance with a multi-year cooperation agreement inked by Ferrari’s namesake division, online gaming company Virtual Gaming Worlds (VGW) will become a premium partner of Ferrari’s Formula 1 racing team.

Ferrari Chief Racing Revenue Officer Lorenzo Giorgetti stated in a statement that VGW, “shares our enthusiasm for innovation and thinking outside the box” as pioneers in the gaming technology industry.

Giorgetti, who just joined the Italian organization, has been given the responsibility of strengthening long-term connections with sponsors across all racing-related operations. Also, he is in charge of reporting on the burgeoning Esports sector of videogame sporting events.

The relationship will start working after this weekend’s Formula 1 Grand Prix in Bahrain, according to the firm.

Ferrari Real Race Events

Drivers from Ferrari and Mercedes are certain that Aston Martin is in the race for first place in Formula One.

As stated by the Ferrari and Mercedes drivers, Aston Martin will begin the season “totally in the fight” at the head of the 2023 Formula 1 field.

In Bahrain’s lone preseason test last week, Aston Martin’s AMR23’s acceleration caused several to take notice. This expectation of a major rise in the standings coincided with Fernando Alonso joining the squad.

Although Aston avoided comment following its impressive test, its competitors think the team will enter the lead fight. Aston has finished seventh in each of the previous two seasons.

Max Verstappen, the two-time defending champion and preseason favorite for 2023, praised the team’s strategy but wasn’t quite as conclusive as his opponents.

Alonso added to Aston’s tempering of expectations when he was questioned about the possibility of him returning to F1’s lead fight for the first time in ten years. Alonso is scheduled to compete alongside Lance Stroll, who is in Bahrain recovering from surgery that prevented him from participating in the pre-season test.
