Farzi has been released on Amazon Prime Video. The crime drama series is binge-worthy and a must watch series. The series is directed by Raj and DK.
Raj and DK’s Farzi is all about an oldest anti-profession in the world, counterfeiting. Despite the fact that the Amazon Prime Video original series is about farzi (fake) currencies, the idea is completely original.
The Family Man’s creators once again captivate their audience with a compelling story through strong acting, hilarious one-liners, and exciting scenes.
The creator and his work are the focus of Farzi. Sunny (Shahid Kapoor), frustrated with the gap between the rich and the poor, and after failing to maintain his nanu’s (Amol Palekar) revolutionary publication, Kranti Patrika, chooses to take concerns into his own hands and begin making counterfeit money with the help of his friend Firoz (Bhuvon Arora).

They produce counterfeit money that is practically impossible to distinguish from the real thing.
Cop Michael (Vijay Sethupathi) and counterfeit kingpin Mansoor Dalal (Kay Kay Menon) are engaged in their own game of cat and mouse.
Mansoor, a soon-to-be connoisseur of Sunny’s paintings, immediately enlists him in his cartel and makes him a party to a significant international crime.
Sunny’s necessities quickly turn into his wants, and soon he is neck-deep in counterfeiting. It is no longer about his nanu or his press.
The personalities of Raj and DK are never black or white. Be it Michael, who is unlike any cop you may have encountered on TV, or Sunny, who serves as the series’ anti-hero.
They are neither entirely black nor entirely white. If Sunny is humanitarian despite his mind being consumed by greed, Michael doesn’t mind using fake money to buy his child’s happiness or even blackmailing a minister to complete his mission.
With painstakingly crafted characters and an exciting plot, the authors have done a fantastic job here.
A special thanks goes out to the dialogue author as well. There are many superb dialogues throughout the entire series. Vijay Sethupathi and Zakir Hussain’s exchanges are funny.
A fantastic cast is present in Farzi. This time, Shahid Kapoor has really outdone himself. With his artwork, Sunny would undoubtedly gain a sizable following as an artist.
In Badmaash Company 12 years ago, the actor played a con artist, but his current portrayal is more consistent.
Michael, a police officer who, in the opinion of Vijay Sethupathi, is “not loyal to the government but his work,” is a spectacular performance from the actor, who has previously played officers.
We appreciate that Sethupathi’s voice was not overdubbed when he spoke in the series. It’s entertaining to listen to him mumble Hindi phrases, and it’s even more entertaining when he uses profanities. His persona becomes more believable and sympathetic as a result.
Farzi, which has 8 episodes lasting 55–60 minutes each, is an interesting show to watch, however, it can occasionally become tedious due to the excessive amount of information.

Although the show succeeds in holding viewers’ attention until the very end, the creators could have simply avoided discussing the specifics of producing a fake currency note.
