Once known as the power couple of the Indian film industry, Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajnikanth, have announced their split leaving their fans and supporters in shock.
The actor and his director’s wife ended their 18 years of marriage on Tuesday and with the announcement, requested their fans to give them privacy. They emphasized that it is a personal call and fans should respect their decision of separation.
Many of the fans were left shocked while others said that they expected the news to come soon as the rumors about the rift between the two were floating for quite some time. With this, many are also speculating possible reasons behind the split.
A lot of the fans assume that it is the workaholic nature of Dhanush that has led the matter to divorce. “Anyone who knows him can tell that he puts his work before anything else,” said one Twitter user.
They further said that there have been previous incidents where his work schedule has taken a toll on his family life.
As per some of the reports, the two of them have been drifting apart in recent months. Not only are their work choices way too different but their individual inclination was increasingly getting in their way of spending time together.
On one hand where Aishwarya was inclining more towards spirituality, Dhanush was signing projects one after the other which left no time for them to spend together. A source states that there are a lot of issues in their marriage and they were unable to come in terms with all these issues.
